Insight School of Wisconsin: Celebrating Our November Students of the Month

Stories & Spotlights

We’re thrilled to announce that Emma Berry, a 12th-grade student, and Mackenzie Meltz, an 11th-grade student, have been named Insight School of Wisconsin’s Students of the Month for November! These students were selected by the school administration and staff for their exceptional academic performance, positive attitude, and dedication to their studies.

Mrs. Widerski, Emma’s teacher, shared this about their nomination: “Emma Berry came to ISWI late last year. Since coming to ISWI she has completed over 14 credit recovery courses, earned passing grades in all live courses, and been a cheerleader for other students in her classes, oftentimes providing virtual high fives and words of encouragement. Emma works full-time and has plans to go to college after high school. Emma will be graduating early and is bound for amazing and wonderful things to come! I’m looking forward to hearing from her in five years, sharing all that she has learned and the wonderful life she has created for herself.”

Mackenzie’s teachers shared this about their nomination: “Kenzie started at ISWI in October 2023, her 10th-grade school year, and has grown a lot as a student since then. As a junior this year, Kenzie has shown a commitment to her education and has been working diligently to overcome some of the struggles she has experienced in previous years. Kenzie has expressed an interest in sharing some of the things she has struggled with and what she is doing to overcome those with her classmates. She feels that it is important for students to know that they are not alone. Kenzie is interested in pursuing a career in the healthcare field after high school and knows that she wants to do something to help others.”

We’re proud to have Emma and Kenzie as members of our school community. Their positive attitudes and dedication to their studies serve as an inspiration to their classmates. Congratulations, Emma and Kenzie!
